    yes, it's nice to bring UV but won't convert well.As well you should bokmark your website in the way that you liked it not in the way that it is your website and every ne should visit it.

    As well, put you ratio in balnce else you are banned from the websites

    Yes it is always useful but only if you have large number of friends in your list , so the more bigger list you have the more publicity you will get .

    Actually I consider it more towards providing a backlink. That's how I view it. You might want to confirm whether it's a dofollow social bookmark

    I guess it depends on which ones you use. I tried Digg for a while(submitted sites and then sent shouts to all my friends), but very few of them actually visited the sites I was submitting. I've tried others too but I haven't really had any success with them either.

    It also depends on the goal of your site. They could be great for building authority sites, on Adsense niche sites, their usefulness depends on the topic covered.

    News site also work great with social traffic.

    it has been useful to me to get my sites indexed first. some dofollow SB sites provides backlinks as well. but most SB site traffic don't convert well so don't expect to make much with the traffic

    SB sites are good for backlinks and some traffic as well. I use the SB list in my signature for some of my sites and am happy with the results. It really helps for deep links to good content.
