Is Social Networking the last inovation of the Internet?

    Is the Internet now fully developed? Mobile and Internet seem to have been successfully combined. Microsoft is betting the farm on Windows 8 which will change the desktop fundamentally to go along these lines. Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter seem to be fully developed, almost like a utility you come to depend on like electric, water, and gas. Email has changed the way people and business communicate forever, to the point where the US Postal System is having to continuously change the way they do business and survive.

    To take the question further, is the "next big thing" even related to computers/internet? Robots, Commercial Space Travel, Alternative Energy, Artificial Inteligence?

    If the Internet were to be simply shutoff or go away, what would there be to take its place in your daily life? What would you be doing today? I'm sure a good deal of you may never have known life without the Internet, many of you have made a career out of it, but there was a time before the Internet.

    I think social network is the biggest new inovation of internet. Because social network hold a combine communication of text communication, video explore, voice communication and more.

    I think its incredibly naive to think anything is ever "fully developed".

    It seems every generation think they're the best and there's nothing more to come but the bad crap and good stuff seem to keep astounding us.

    I don't think so. People these days are into social networking. The constant rise of people in the social networking sites gives the online marketers a great chance to promote their products and eventually, get sales.

    No, its not there are many more things apart from social networking.. see the Google. They people are amazing and always bring a new thing in market.

    No, it is a journey not a destination. When there was no social network, we were happy with simple mail and we were wonder, how easily we can communicate! In that time, how much people feel the need of a social platform? Even you see, a lot of change is going on regularly on every were like Facebook, Google, mailing, searching etc etc. So, a lot of innovation is still wait in internet. We are somewhere in the road and possibly not even reach in the middle of the road of innovation.
