Is Social Promotion Better Than SEO?

The correct answer would be using both. Using social media to backlink to your website and connecting your website to social media. The more unique content created the easier to achieve higher rankings within search engines inparticular google.

 

Social promotion is part of SEM, Seo & Smo both are important for website promotion.

 

NOt like that, once you achived n SEO it will b ring you constant traffic.

 

SEO generates the organic traffic and it is last long, whereas the SMO traffic is not so certain it is for the short time, you can really rely upon traffic generated by the Social Media Sites.

 

I have to agree you have to incorporate both into your marketing strategy.

SEO needs time but you will get constant traffic when your site getting rank at the first page of search engine

i think both of are very important.both of work with each other.i admit certain businesses,social media network is better than seo but if when it goes viral.

 

But according to me SEO get some stabilized and perfect back links with audience from different field and activities which are widely spread, and in social networking target could be missed sometimes only creating a visitors the best is the social networking.

 

I am working on a dental health website and facing the same problem also the ranking of the website is dropping day by day.I have started Social media marketing for this,I am using LinkedIn and facebook.There is some increase in traffic but not enough.

 

Both are good we use seo for organic search results and smo gives you traffic and brand creation

I think you hit the nail on the head right there. I want organic on my site but there is millions of sites out there like mine, so its kinda hard to be ranked high and I am no seo expert but I wish I could get help with my site as far as SEO I just dont have alot of funds to put up.

 

you can not compare SMM and SEO. Both activities are needed for getting good traffic and branding. but yes social media gives you instant result and traffic compare to Seo activities.

 

According to My Experience for SEO is long term traffic and Social Media is short term traffic. Once you get top ranking keywords then you can get long term traffic but I case of Social Media you have to update daily basis for traffic… So we can say SEO is the best from Social Media.

 

After updating Google's algorithms there is only one single way is left to promote site is social networking. Social networking is one of the best way to generate traffic on your site.
