Is there a site to help one-man-shows formulate a disclaimer?

Hi, do you guys know any site that can help us solo webmasters with formulating a disclaimer to place on our site (for free)? Also if they help with wording up a privacy policy...that would be great. :)

    Cheers

You might find some help in the Legal Section for this question, too. I would recommend simply finding other TOS and Privacy policies you think cover your needs and then adapt them to your site.

If your site is large and has potential legal problems, go talk to a local lawyer. It will save you a TON of time AND hassle. Good luck.

truste.com is a good source to create and verify a privacy policy. For a disclaimer, unless an attorney is involved, I would suggest making is as broad as possible and disclaim all possible issues in order to avoid problems. You will probably need to view the disclaimers of other websites as examples.

I don't know where you live, however where I live, there are organizations dedicated to small business. They have lawyers on staff that can assist you with things such as this for free.

You can normally find lawyers willing to do this kind of work for cheap. I would recomend that over anything you do yourself or find for free.
