Is There Still Money In Video Sharing.

I'm thinking about starting a video sharing site (Obviously with a twist) and i was wondering if its really worth it.
I know there are quite a few hundred already established, most look really bad.
My site wouldn't be a site where you can upload and view your video and share it with friends right away.
Each video has to go past a human to check that it is funny.
Thats not the twist by the way. I'm not going to say anything about the twist but i can say that i cant find a free/non member version of it anywhere.
So do you think there's any money in video sites.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm still convinced that AdSense is going to be the best bet in something like Video Sharing.

The only problem is - I don't know anybody who is successful with trying to run a site like this?

Of course that doesn't mean it CAN'T be done right... I just don't see much of a Business Model for it. That's alot of Bandwidth for a few clicks. ;)

To be quite honest, I think AdSense has got too big now.
The rates they are giving don't seem very good to me.
With video sharing you have the advantage of dynamically watermarking videos with an advertisers website (clickable too!) address or logo.
So thats quite specific advertising, yet still very easy to set up using flash streaming video.
CPM i think is the way to go with video sharing.
Not at the start, but when it gets going and visitors start coming in.
They can view alot of pages once on your site.

With a lot of these sites, entertainment links are pretty cheap so with adsense you probably won't make too much..unless you're youtube...I like the watermarking idea but it'd have to be cpc or you could run a video ad before the actual video starts (the later will surely piss some visitors off). there's still poitential in the niche...it'd depend on what your unique twist is.

its gonna be difficult since even msn is coming up with some video sharing stuff,
also managing b/w & promotions with the site would be a tough job,
but i wont be too negative as well over it, if you have something different visitors your way, something should be there to impress the visitors at the 1st look.
