    I received a telephone number from a programmer, he says is from New York USA.
    I am afraid of scammers, he said I can call him on this number +1850 320 ....
    Can somebody help me, is this a phone number from USA, New York?

    If you Google 850 area code, it shows that it's an area code in Florida.

    Thank you very much Roberta. Can be a mobile phone? There are any other significance of the numbers in a phone number from USA? Maybe the rest of the number or the number 1 the first figure in the numbers?
    Maybe I can found out something else so interesting. Why somebody would say is from New York if he is from Florida? Don't know... Could be there a scammers call center? Thank you.

    It is a toll free number. Not guaranteed if he is in US. He could be anywhere in the world.

    Be careful tho lol.. Most "Tech" people actually mask their phone numbers, making it appear as if they are from the Unite States.

    I've had the same dude from Tech Support call me multiple times, but his phone number was from different states each time lol. It was the same guy! LOL, so masking is very common indeed...
