Is this add ok due to the new adsence image policy?

My understanding is that this is a violation. You are putting the images there to draw attention to the ads.

It's a "maybe, maybe-not" question. Images are usually okay, but sometimes they aren't. I would email Adsense and see what they say about it.

Based on the examples that Google has put on thier blog, this would seem to be a violation.

As always best to check directly with them.

What is there to check? The new policies specifically cite this example as not acceptable. The new policies also state that adding borders does not bring the image into compliance.

I would also disagree that it is always best to check with them. When the answer is clearly given in existing TOS documents, why burden the Google staff with redundant questions?

this is not ok. you might want to optimize using other means like blending and all instead

Drawing attention to ads is hardly against TOS, misleading is another thing.

drawing undue attention is against TOS.

blending is in a way misleading too. hehe... thats why it is getting better clicks when you blend it.. but not always the case... most of the time it is.

It looks to be like a violation. The images are lined up with the unit, there is no visible separation from the images and the ad...in short, I would stay away from using images next to ads for now.

Also, "Sponsers" is spelled wrong :)

I didnt say this case was ok with TOS. IMO it isnt. I just said that drawing attention is not against TOS. Imagine a bright green ad on a black background. That draws attention but it's not against TOS in any way.

PS Check the colored adsense ads at the top of this page ;)

The real violation here is the how "sponsors" is spelled.

There are two violations, one is the Heading "Sponsers" it should be "Sponsored Ads" or Advertisement and second is images, because google has clearly said "No" to images next to ads. Read adsense blog for more info
