    Hi,
    I hope this is good place to post. I have small question, and would like to hear your opinion since I am not so much sure because in past months/years I am involved more tech and less SEO/marketing stuffs, and this is question is related to SEO / domains.

    Yesterday I got offer from old business partner, who is some kind of professional 'domain digger' or something similar (buying dropped, or discovering new domains and trade with them). He offers me domain CheapAirlineTicketsToLA.com for $500 which he found yesterday.

    I was wandering is it worth $500? it is true that exact math vs competition is good, but I just wanted to consult with someone who is more experienced, and work with this kind of stuffs, or in other words how much is exact match important today, and again, is it worth $500? Thanks for your opinions, I am listening...

    If you please. Are "tuyrro.com" or "paqqo.com" worth $500? Obviously, not. Are "google.com" or "yahoo.com" worth $500? Obviously, yes. If you think over why "paqqo.com" is so cheaper than "yahoo.com", you'll find the secret method of getting a great domain name...
    Anyway, I wouldn't pay more than ordinary registration fee for any "cheapairlineticket-bla-bla-bla", but would told many nice words to those cybersquotters.

    I would prefer to search some good name related to La i have found one which is available "buytickectla.com" Many people search direct keyword like buy ticket to la rather than cheap airline tickets to la hope you get the point ;)

    I think it depends on the profit . if it makes you profit, it'll worth of $500, not just the domain name... ahaha

    I agree that domain is not much worth. Always take a look how many traffic is on the domain and how many links point to the domain in the specific nich. Hope this helps you.

    check the google analytics searches for it. It would have to have quite a few to be worth $500.

    LOL obviously not. There are many domain companies who contact you blindly and pushing sales pitch that such and such domain is worth tonnes of money. Be careful.     You don't have to pay $500 for that domain at all. Sure it is a very targeted domain name. But you can pay for another domain name for about $10 and use the $490 extra to pay someone to set up SEO campaigns and PPC campaigns for you. That way at least you know you are going to make some money. If you need help picking a domain, I believe Domain Samurai is still free right now. Go grab it and start searching. Maybe you can pitch him another domain for $500 :D
