    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Is this pushing things too far?

I am mainly refering to the word "index" on the left, but if anyone can give me feedback about the adverts I would appreciate it. Also if I have violated the tos in any way please let me know?

Hmmmm, I'm as big a fan of blending as the next guy, but I would personally contact the big G and get their advice on this one. I get the feeling that when you label an area that contains adds only as 'index' your giving the visitor the impression that its your site navigation and G will frown on this.

I have the same sort of set up and have been told numerous times to comply with TOS you need to label it "Sponsored Links" or "Advertisers" etc

Sorry to sound like the negative guy! Good luck with your site as well.

No not at all thanks for the advice! I was thinking the same thing myself but wanted some confirmation before removing the "index" word.

Anyone else what to chime in :)

it looks good but as said before , you shoud delete the "index" on top of the ad cause that might cause problems ... better put "sponsored ads" or something similar to be safe .. or you can come out with something better if yu want to hide the fact they re ads ..
    good luck

Get rid of "index", or at least have a few links there before the ads.

I'd do a few links right before the ads (at least two, to make good on the word 'index')

Ok so what do you think now that I added the links below the word "index" does that let me off or should I still remove the word "index".

    Thanks guys.

I think that at least you should have space between the index links and the first ad unit on the left. And the label "Site Sponsors" isn't correct for the second ad unit. See the quote from the policies for the two possible -optional- labels.

nicely done but as what others have said, it would be better to label it with "Sponsored Links" or "Advertisements" to be sure... :)

All done and thanks so much guys for your input. :)
Can someone tell me if I have too many ad units, there are 2 image units, 1 text & 1 link. Should be fine but I am not really sure. I have read the TOS a while back  don't want to put myself through that torture again :p

yes that s fine ..you can use up to three ad units and 1 link unit . but i ll advise you to change the image links to text links as they generate more traffic ...no one is clicking image banners anymore .. i have a similar website as yours and by experience i found that it s true ... at leat 4 times more when using text links ...

    good luck

Thanks for the valuable info I will make sure to get rid of those images, I thought they gave the page life but I think your right people would be less likely to click on an image....what about the video image ads did you have any success with those?

    Thanx :)
