I've Been Scammed! Another Lesson Learn't Using DP

Hi guys,

{Forum Mods please go easy on me I am very angry and want to make others aware along with showing who this Guy is so he can be Banned}

I usually don't use DP (anymore) for Services as there are many Scammers in here (sorry DP its true). I love the place for selling my SEO but I am an honest guy not looking to take customers hard earned money and disappear!

This Guy got in touch when I posted for a PSD to HTML GIG - https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/xzfi16.761089/

He spoke to me on Skype along with others and I went with him based on Price as I had a small budget to work with. He took about 4 days to show me something and I could see it was poorly coded and then I got scared. I asked him and he said to just chill out!!

Typical Scammer talk!

I couldn't ditch the job as I needed it done for my client and I was low on funds so I carried on, thinking give him a chance maybe its issues with Internet as he was in Thailand!

He was angry that I paid using "Services" on PayPal as he wanted Family and Friends which I know from experience means that if I needed to Claim he would win as there is NO Come back if you do this on PayPal.

PayPal are awful anyway when it comes to claims with ANYTHING DIGITAL - I am now in two claims on two different PayPal accounts as I used one for deposit and one for the balance with him as I paid 50% down then 50% when he showed me Job and was ready to upload to my Server.

Its not on my server and he has Disappeared! (I also later found out he was outsourcing!)

Well he has gone now never on Skype or in this forum and thinks he is clever by Escalating to Claim (writing "I gave you site on your server" in bad english grammar) the thing is I have been here on the other side and from Experience I think PayPal will see it his way as they are Disgusting when it comes to helping Buyer on PayPal and usually side with the Seller!

Great for Sellers shit for Buyers.

I will update when the claims go through which will probably take 2 weeks!!

Be careful on here I think I PayPal should introduce a Escrow service for Digital goods they have funds to be able to do this!

I think paypal does not want the aggravation with having to arbitrate escrow disputes - the one says he has delivered, the other claims that it is crap, etc. I had this problem with VWorker jobs that were utterly crap and obvoius scams, but since the job involved some translation from German to whatever the Vworker arbitrator had no clue if it was done ok or not. It dragged on for months until the scammer stopped answer the questions of the arbitrator

You can also file a reversal with your credit card company, if you can do that. Paypal does return the money first, and then it investigates the claims. If you have a strong case there is no way you loose on the chargeback

 

i wont take too many complaints for paypal to shut him down, i am sure you are not the only one

 

THE PAYPAL JOKE EMAIL:

Here is the Joke email I received today from the disgusting, ignorant, faceless company PayPal that concludes in the Sellers Favour!! {no surprises there!!} - this is a massive flaw with the Billion Dollar Joke Company PayPal as I am sure you are all aware.

Please don't use PayPal as a Buyer for ANYTHING DIGITAL OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG!

Or do your due diligence more than I did with any Sellers here on DP!
Mods can you please Ban this scammer "xzfi16" he will just do it again to people. I am so angry that I trusted him!


Thanks PayPal you just cost/lost me $160 (I will no doubt lose the other $80 balance I paid him as the job was $160)

What a fucking Joke PayPal are and its the same shit when you are a seller on eBay using PayPal, if anything goes remotely wrong a buyer just clicks Claim and that's it - you might aswell write the product off even if they send it back they'll cry and make you pay for the postage then you'll lose the case and then to top it all off you'll get a Negative!

End of eBay business!
