We are seeing what is happening. It is unfolding right now.
Cryptocurrencies are being beaten to a pulp in the stockmarket. Their future is bleak.

its not because of the price. its the capacity for its transaction. they have been trying to kill bitcoin even before it lives but here we are. more than a thousand $ is its price. i have dumped mine when it hits its ATH.

You are a smart guy... but the guy who bought your BTC position isn't so smart.
Indeed, I genuinely feel sorry for the poor wretch!

You will consider the guy to be smart too when later he learns about stablecoin like USDT to trade with BTC at every dip. But even just holding the btc and wait til the price bounce back as it always do. sooner you will see, it may take a year or two to see the climb of price.

So, are you one of those making a killing with BTC?
Have you already moved to Puerto Rico?
If so, say hi to Emilio Ismael Vazquez for me.

Having been dominating the cryptomarket for 10 years, bitcoin has experienced a prolonged price-slide since the beginning of the year, and now BTC’s price rolled back to the level of October 2017. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time when bitcoin loses nearly 90% of its value.

While many cryptocurrency bulls are in quandary or even panic, trying to figure out what to do with their funds, seasoned experts work to understand the real reasons of progressed decrease of BTC's price. Although the exact reason for the market plummet has not been agreed upon, the experts suggested some potential factors such as the Bitcoin Cash hard fork which occurred in mid-November , uncertain traditional global markets, banning of all cryptocurrency related ads by Google as well as tightening of the related authorities control. All this pushes small private miners to leave the coin market as they will not be able to survive in the tight competition.

It seems that crypto market is in chaos, and here people are divided into two camps: some people are predicting the price of bitcoin to fall to zero soon and the death of the most popular cryptocurrency. Other people are positive about bitcoin’s future. The latest argue in favor of the idea of decentralized peer-to-peer currency what is too appealing to be dropped after almost a decade of existing. Many optimistic experts predict that the price of bitcoin will rise up to $ 20,000 or even more in 2019 what will be possible due to the entrance of more institutional investors in the space. A new bull run will also likely be driven by the launch of products by institutional companies such as Fidelity, Bakkt, Square and BlackRock.

We see long-term potential of bitcoin and strongly believe that in 2019 we will run into bullish market. What are your ideas?

I'm from Asia though. I have no idea who he is.

it may or may not happen. it all depend to what will happen to that ETF decision. once decided whether its rejected or not, thats the time we can say its going up. until there is no decision, the threat will still be there. its best if rejected.

what is to be really learned here is how great the BLOCKCHAIN technology. it doesnt matter if bitcoin or eth fail. its blockchain that matters. as long as it proves to be a technology worth developing, BTC won't die.

Yeah, blockchain technology is likely to live on, but, crypto-currency really has no future.

The good old days of frenzied optimism about Bitcoin are over. In the heady days of December 2017 to January 2018 it went as high as $19,500. Now it's fallen to about $4,200. Investors lost their shirts and confidence has been eroded and will never return.

The entire bitcoin saga is like a repeat of the dotcom bubble in the early 2000s.
Stick to real estate... that's where stability is.

    This is only the beginning.
The crypto bubble is going to pop.
When it does, there will be reverberations across the stock market from New York to Tokyo.

There are still ICOs today that receives $10M funds, who does that? Of course the believers of the cryptocurrencies as a mater of fact banks are starting to use XRP. Crypto don't die. The internet today may actually rot as Web3.0 is coming and its made of blockchain.

In the mid-2000s, people were still investing in the dotcoms and some companies such as Amazon lived on to become the phenomenal success that it is today; however, it does not alter the fact that the early 2000s dotcom bubble was indeed a bubble.

Post 2008, the Lehman Brothers, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae nearly brought down the house of cards, that was the housing bubble; nonetheless, housing credit institutions from Seattle to Miami keep on rolling strong.
This does not alter the fact that the housing bubble popped back in 2008.

BTC and other cryptos are in a bubble.
The block-chain technology might very live on. In fact, I am personally rooting for block-chain, but that does not mean that cryptos have any viable future. Believe me, the real crash is still ahead of us.

Cryptocurrencies will be and will be for a long time. But it is unlikely to become overly popular again.

Nice, they really spend time to put it on the news. Don't you think they consider newsworthiness here when it comes to BTC?

Forex brokers add BTC on their listings. Rumors says BTC will be on Nasdaq too.
