Well, whether you believe in Global Warming or not, I think it's about time we all started thinking about our impact on our enviroment. Whether it's polluting, immoral use of our resources, it all falls under the same things that "global warming" is being caused by.

I do, and I think I made that quite clear. But it is a natural phenomena. As was said before, there is nothing we as humans can do to either negatively or positively affect it. We can certainly try. I mean the dinosaurs gave it quite an attempt, and look what happened to them :)

I think it is about time you realize all that we do already, cars release almost 0 emissions compared to just 25 years ago, Coal powered plants have scrubbers in their smoke stacks to remove 94% of emissions compared to 10 years ago, we turn our own toilet water into potable quality or better before re-releasing it into the ground, we are preserving wetlands through conservancy groups (especially right wing ones) at a rate 100 times greater than just 15 years ago, our heating systems in most homes have 85% fewer emiisions (some 0) than 50 years ago, our "gas guzzlers" get 20+ MPG, as good as some compact cars less than 30 years ago, our lakes and rivers are cleaner than they have been in over 70 years, some over 150 years (potamic). I could go on and on, but you just think we are wasteful and irresponsible americans, when in reality we are the cleanest greenest generation ever. One conservation group ( a right wing one) I partake heavily has restored over 9.4 MILLIONS OF ACRES of wetlands. What has hollywood done? ANY ACRES?????? See that is the real difference, while you people who supposedly care, are recycling your mountain dew cans and signing "virtual petitions", us right wingers are once again saving the world through action, not retoric.

Global warming was just made up by the communist homosexual liberals to advance the gay agenda.

The president and every study sponsored by energy companies says its fake.

    So it must be fake

Odd, most gays I know are quite conservative. I don't think I've ever met a communist one, much less a liberal. I suppose they are out there, I just don't know any... Go figure.

ferret, I am for one not saying it is fake, I am just saying it isn't humanity's fault, or at least not entirly. I do not know if you are old enough to remember, but during the 70's we were told we were entering an iceage because of humans. I remember even reading a Time magazine (i think it was time) that said the federal govt was contemplating speading coal dust over the polar caps to warm them up (black dust to collect solar heat). Not only was this a "theory" but it was sold as fact! Now we are suppose to believe we are in global warming soley because of human activity? We may play a part, but my personal opinion is that this is cyclical and will correct itself soon. In the meantime I do not believe we can just pillage the earth and burn the forests down for fun, we need to act responsibly but not over react. I personally have donated thousands to my local chapter of a right wing conservancy group, i do my share, I do not litter, I do not burn wood for heat, I keep my car tunes up and my tires full as well as recycle, but I am not giving my car away and buying a bicycle any time soon, and I sure as hell am not signing a virtual petition.

My girlfriend was watching that tv show when it came on.

How can you think that anything that starts with a singing and dancing number by Jason Alexander is a joke?

Ah so it was then. It would have been nice to see Jason Alexander doing a sing and dance number though.... What was it on? What station? I don't watch network TV.

Regardless of global warming which is a natural phenomenon, we are helping it along.

We should be doing more so that if I drive into London I dont have to wash the damn car on the way home. I dont think everyone should drive carrot juice powered cars or anything, but it would not be hard to make all cars run on something much cleaner.

If I want to drive an suv, I should be allowed, it just shouldnt pump out carbon monoxide or anything else damaging. Still if we ban smoking in public places then we will be fine ;)
