    Hi Everybody

I have a Jokes website (www.somejokes.com), I tried to maintain it as a popup and activex free, jokes website. This site has Total Pageviews: 1298891 till date and the traffic has grown exponentially for me this month. It's getting 2000 uniques a day, and I am not yet properly monetizing the traffic.

What would you recommend doing with this traffic ? The traffic is mainly from the main search engines with good "2 phrase" keywords.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Honey

What about some advertisement to the top of your website. The income from this advertisement will help you to cover the hosting fees - the more traffic you have, more bandwidth you need to pay BUT your revenue will increase with you traffic too.

I personally use Commission Junction and I am satisfied. Choose some related sponsor and with 2000 visitors a day you must earn some good money :)

With 2000 visitors per day you should be able to make some money. I think that for joke sites google is not the best network, and with that traffic you should apply for fastclick or something similar. How many page views you got per day?

Well, that should be it. Add some banners to the site, if you are able to get a just a cpm of $1 that will be an extra $600 per month. I think it should be posible without adding banners.

You can place a leaderboard on the top of the site and a square in the middle. In the jokes pages the square can be above the joke, or if you dont want to move the joke too down you can use a banner above the joke.

Also you can use one of those tell a friends programs that pay. One that I remember is http://www.opt-media.com/.

Thanks everybody. I tried to take up all suggestions. I am playing between multiple contextual ad serving solutions, like adsense, clicksor, bidvertiser etc to see which works the best. I will test each one of them for 24hrs and then decide which one to keep.

I did setup opt-media.com but their pay out seems pretty low. In 2 days, I got like a $1. I setup interclick as well, but that I do not like, and will remove because of popups, popunders, etc etc !!!

Keep the suggestions coming please. And yes, those looking to advertise, always welcome :)
