Joomla vs Wordpress vs Drupal

Discussion in 'Content Management' started by IPC_Design_Ltd, Apr 22, 2010.

I was talking to a fellow developer last night about the 'perks' of using Wordpress for one of my clients sites... to which a massive discussion ensued about the mainstream CMS options... mainly Joomla, Wordpress & Drupal... now this got me thinking... everyone has an opinion on which is the better option..

So if you had to choose, which of the CMS options do you favour and why?
    :p

I prefer Joomla if we are talking about Joomla or Drupal. I don't think that WordPress comparable with Joomla or Drupal. WordPress is stand alone bloging script.

I use Wordpress with a great theme called Thesis. It's very easy to use. Now it takes me just about 2 hours to fully set up a site. Great plugins as well. Joomla may have more features, but when I tried it, i found it hard to use.

Wordpress is overloaded with options and frankly I'm loss at to which wordpress theme to use. I'm trying out with Joomla now for my potential client now.
