Jurassic 5 famous in USA and Canada ?

Hi there, i really like the music group jurassic 5. I wonder if this is famous over there . Im sure it is

 

jurassic 5 are really good, i think they are more famous in america than anywhere else. Charli 2na is also in a group called ozomatli, they are a kind of latino/hip hop group quite a bit different to jurassic 5 but still really good

 

i really love zakiir. It's a singer, he sings in " Remember his name " You know that song? God man i listen to that song 5 times in an hour.

for ozomatli i would say their first album (self titled is best) and if you just like the hip hop side of things listen to coming war it is ace. They are quite politically orientated too which i like

 

ozomati is the guy with a very strong voice right ? the one who answer the phone in remember his name? wow if the guy sing alone or on other songs yeah i really would like to hear.
But zakiir got a very nice voice

 

nope i think ozomatli is just the group name, there are quite a few of them in it, Charli 2na provides the rap lyrics and the rest is all latino style music, its pretty funky

yeah youre right, but here its not that expensive to buy an audio cd .

 

I haven't heard any of their songs here.. or maybe I am just too lazy to search new music

 

ahahah you should really listen to Jurrasic 5 and ozomati, i just download the music on the internet yesterday night . But jurrasic 5 da best IMO

 

If you like J5 you should check out Herbaliser, MC Solaar and Dilated Peoples...

There's more out there of course, but I'm really into all of those guys at the moment.

 

You really like MC Solaar ? he is a french guy and really... his songs are not that great but this is because of his speeches lol... I dont know if you talk french but yeah...

Herbaliser i heard it many times, and still got no chance to hear it yet because i forget or im busy or my friend lose his cd...

Solaar is awesome.. Yeah I can speak french so that helps (Saying that, I can't always keep up with him)...

What albums have you heard? His first 2 are the best ones.

The UK Hip-Hop Scene is pretty awesome these days ~ lots of interesting stuff coming out of London...

 

dilated peoples are pretty good.

Try looking up DJ Yoda(british hip hop dj), cunninglinguists and DJ Format

im not a big fan of herbaliser but he is signed to ninja tunes and some of the groups/djs on there are excellent including Mr scruff and Kid Koala, though that is touching on the electronica grounds aswell as hip hop

 

Trouser Jazz is a great Mr Scruff album...

Like you say though, slightly more on the electronica side of things.

if you like electronica check out some of the people signed to warp records. Aphex twin is pretty famous on their but i got jacksons electronic band recently and its really good

 

Yeah I like Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, but it's not realy the kind of thing I can listen to at any time..

It can be a bit of a headfuck to listen to it first thing in the morning or whatever.

 

i tend to listen to stuff like that when i am working it stops me from falling asleep when i am writing articles on stuff i can not be bothered with. I just got some albums by the faint, they are an american indie/electro pop synth band, pretty good stuff not like the usual crap you get on the radio

When you say indie/electro, are you talking about the LCD Soundsystem kind of thing, or something slightly more like the Killers?
