Just an Idea: A Gadget Article Site

I know there are probably a bunch out there, but Im just wondering what you all think of the following idea:

Another one of those article sites, but this one will deal purely with gadgets (ipods, cell phones, electronics, cameras, etc)

Questions:

1) Is this niche too general? Too specific?
2) What is the payout like for these kinds of ads? (On Adsense)
3) Is there too much competition?

Just an idea. Any comments and suggestions are welcomed

 

My advice is that if you get an idea keep it to yourself and do a little non-forum research.

Because by the time you read this someone will probably have registered GadgetArticleSite.com (if it's not already taken)

If you want to know the adsense payout, get an adwords account and setup a test campaign.

Also, there are a lot of websites that give great insight on how popular a search is, the competition, and alternatives. Wordtracker is the one most people recommend but I've found better (and cheaper) options.

 

There are a lot of gadget blogs out there at the moment and I too have one, Adsense payout varies but I'd never call it high paying. If the subject interests you to write about but as a high paying niche I'd be tempted to look else where.

I too have a similar gadget site done purely out of interest.
Adsense income is generally lower than my other sites. You may want to consider Chitika though.
