Just cant seem to break the $3 a day barrier

Don't put all the information at your main page, visitors just can't see anything for the first time, make visible links, with bold fonts. If you have 10page with 10different ads then you have the chance to make a higher CTR. 3$ is really disappointing, I have a site with 30uniques a day, and it makes 1.5$ average, so how can't you make 15$/day with that number of visitors.. kind a weird..

    Some great tips there.

Manly is a suburb the actual full team name is "Manly Warringah Sea Eagles"Most home games attract about 19,000 people on average as they are part of the National competition and currently one of the top 5 teams. I think putting Rugby League in the title (rugby is a different sport to rugby league) might help a fair bit but the Manly part has to stay as it is a main key word.

I find that I get a lot of interstate or distant fans on the site rather than locals although there are a hell of a lot of locals too. So the Manly accommodation can be relevant but the site is a bit flooded with them.

    - Chitika has been one of my best converters so far, but the channel tracking falls short

    - The manly sea eagles front page was designd in response to what the visitors said they wanted and offers a one stop shop for them but the majority totter through to the forums too. I will maybe make a news landing page as well

    - As for the mytipper front page, it is definately too crowded and I am considering a more professional and clean design but have yet to come across one or conjure one in my head.

    - A blurb at the top is definately a good idea.

Basically most of my earnings come from Silvertails.net so that site is fairly optimized
mytipper then gets the next most regular hits and click through.

Clicks on beeriest.com and e107blog.mytipper.com are the highest paying but the CTR is lower because I have not yet fully built the traffic for them

    Just an FYI

I broke the $4 barrier yesterday with most of the revenue coming from the link units on e107blog.mytipper.com and today so far i have just broken the $3 barrier with the Silvertails content blocks copping the highest CTR and $$$

Here's my 2 cents.... Some of what everybody is saying I agree with. Have you looked at www.mlb.com Major League Baseball. The site is very user friendly. I feel that you got a little carried away with the ad blending. I don't think users who feel tricked will come back. If you have enough good ORGANIZED content, people will stay on your site. I also feel that if your site were more organized you can get people who are not into the sport a little educated. There is power in beauty. Of course the drawback is maybe you will get less click thrus. Who knows. Just an aside..... My wife has a fan site. She has thousands of people coming. No Ads. I asked her one day if I could put a leader board at the top and bottom of her pages..... Her loyal fans and unique visitors are consistantly clicking on the ads. It is a gold mine. Most of the clicks are on photo pages believe it or not. Good Luck.

Gah, I hate these MLB, NFL, and NBA sites. They're too cumbersome and a pain in the ass to navigate. Takes forever to load, too. Unless you're on a cable connection, you mind as well not visit them. I'm on DSL, and it still takes forever to load completely.

really loaded ok for me here and I am on dial up today!

I kind of want to do something cleaner. I am a coder and not the best designer but want to find a good medium between the two

Its worth paying someone to design it for you if you are serious about the look of the site.

yup definately something I have considered.

I have made some contact to try and get it done and hopefully some reasonable pricing will come out of it
