Just got scammed $110

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by EGS, Apr 10, 2006.

Well I just got scammed through PayPal for $110...and now all my money is gone...

I filed a claim 5 minutes after I sent the payment because I knew he scammed me as soon as he just signed off after I sent the payment. I called PayPal. The lady was really nice but couldn't give me anything about him or the case...

I really hope that I can get this back. :( This was my only money for an investment. Gawd I hate scammers, and worst I hate PayPal scammers!

Would you mind telling us what happened? So if the same modus operandi or some sort of variation comes along everyone gets alerted.

I personally would glad to know what really happened and who is the scammer too. At least that will help us and who knows as iBBnet said we might be able to help you back.

Anyway, hope you are not too sad about the incident.

If you get scammed on Paypal, you are pretty much guaranteed that you will get your money back.

I sell virtual goods on my site, and sometimes people will tell paypal that they didn't recieve the files (just to be ass holes) and paypal will always side with the buyer and send them their money back.

In your dreams... it depends who scams. I got burn on eBay once and once with a 'service'. I didn't get a single cent back even with a certified copy of email chains Paypal played dumb and stuck with the seller - they are big sellers generating a bunch of PayPal fees.
