Buy from full blown e-commerce sites like BestBuy, Amazon, etc... they won't scam you. They might rip you off a little but you'll get your products!

Sorry to hear your story. This is harsh especially for those who use paypal and sell virtual products. Hunt this guy down like Frankenstein and burn the scammer.

PaYPal don't give a shit about anyone but their 3% commission fee.

I lost $100US from a member on this forum who offered forum posting services....

I filed the complaint. 10 days later, payPal says:

We rule in your favour, but as the culprit doesn't have any funds in his account, we are unable to refund you the money. Thanks for using Paypal, and may your transaction be safe and secure in the future.

Basic jist of their email. They even had the HIDE to say their services are safe n secure.... cunts. I cant wait for the Google equivelent to come out.

 

Usually you will get your money back.

Getting scammed sucks. Next time you buy digital goods fund the purchase with a credit card. Paypal will have no choice but to help you because if they do not you can file a chargeback with your credit card company. Paypal would probably cancel your account over it but at least you would have your money.

 

You have to watch who you are sending money to. There are alot of scams on the Web just like anywhere else in the World.

So be careful and you will then not get burned.

Also, does anybody use associateprograms forums. I am saying this because they had someone post about 40 new posts that mentioned that he has hacked into E-gold. He said that his is what he does is to hack into sites so that he can find holes in it.

He said that he found out that if you deposit $3 or $6 or $9 etc, to a temporary e-gold account with the account number: ________ then you will receive etra money back from it or something like that.

What a scam that was. The temporary account was most likely to been his. I guess people are starting to turn to other methods of doing scams with paypal and e-gold now.

Email is not good enough anymore so they are finding more options.

What a bunch of scamming loosers.

 

That's not a bad idea... kinda funny that someone would actually believe somthing like that.

 

The thing about that is that if people did believe it and did get scammed over it then they couldn't really go to E-gold and tell them what happend.

They would have to make it up or something lol. They can't say that "someone said that money can be made from a hack of your E-gold site. So I then tried it and my money was taken."

I still have not gotten my money back from my complaint with PayPal, and I do not think I will to be honest.
PayPal should really require members to be verified for almost gauranteed protection.

The nice thing about PayPal is that it's fast and easy to use... that's why it's popular.

To be honest, I opened a PayPal account years ago so I could buy something online, I didn't want to open it but I figured "what the heck"... if they required total verification of all my details, I would have said "screw this shit..." and moved on.

Ofcourse as I used it more I got verified and started using it more and more... now if you are constantly getting ripped off (which is YOUR fault, not PayPal's) then you really need to take a moment and ask WHY?

WHY are you such an easy target? There has to be a reason since I've never had problems... but then again I only buy from verified members and look at their previous transactions.

I also tend to buy from e-commerce sites or forum members who I feel I can trust.
