Just started a Pligg based news site. Wanted to see how quick and easy it would be to install. Check it out and tell me what you think? http://colorcave.com Also Feel free to post an article.
Do you think a site like this can survive and get traffic as well? Anyone experienced with these type of sites? Thought I would give it a whirl.

Looks good, promote it through forums, SN sites and try to target the people who are looking for digg alternative. :)

It'll survive if you constantly promote it. I wouldn't spend a great deal on advertising, but rather rely signature links and other free methods of forum promotion. I'd also suggest convincing a few bloggers to write about your site in return for a link in your footer.

    Best of luck. :)

Yeah absolutely. You could use it as an incentive for people to join your site. As far as I know sites (forums in particular) that have used revenue sharing will see a much higher "user-join-rate" than regular sites, so give it a go.

forget sig links..they wont do much...unless you drop 100's per day on very related blogs/forums etc.
Try adverts on related sites that you are confidents the visitors will LOVE your content (which means, dont promote until your site has something GREAT to offer)

    G'luck
