keeping your hands warm

I'm living in some cold weather right now and unfortunately my computer is downstairs where it's even colder. I find that my right hand (Mouse hand) gets very cold real quick and it has the potential to bring back capal tunnel (lack of blood circulation).

I found a heated mouse at theheatedmouse.com and some heated gloves thanko.jp/usbgloves/ and a heated keyboard warmkeyboard.com

I would prefer the heated gloves, but it's only available in japan. Does anyone else have this same problem? and any ideas or products you may know about to help? Most regualar gloves are too thick to work with...

Spamming your own links won't work until you have more posts.

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum, I've never heard of anything you can use to keep your hands warm, but it would sure come in handy here in Toronto, we just had snowfall last night and I am freezing all over, those items sound interesting but I use a laptop.

How about spend some money on your house heating instead?

Ah.. yeah a laptop would probably make it a little more difficult... but you must be getting a little heat from it since the laptop is so close to you.. maybe I need to buy a little tiny heater and place it infront of my mouse hand or something.

im also afraid to buy the keyboard or mouse because if I forget to turn them off during the night..

Yea, I may just have to get my snowsuit on here it's so damn cold. The laptop is warm, so I guess that is an advantage. A little heater sounds good.

Just rub your arms and hands occasionally. Making fists and releasing them multiple times may also help.

Maybe a mini heater on your desk would help.

If that doesn't work you could always have your husband sit on them for a while. ;)

well I guess my dry eyes wont really be too fond of the mini heater blowing hot air at me now that I think about it.. I guess I will just order that mouse and see how it goes..

    palespyder: no worries, I understand.

Dry eyes here too, it's always something. Rob's idea sounds interesting. I think he knows that works cause he's shaking his fist all day at YART threads and stupid people, hehehe.

lol yeah tell me about it.. if its a computer syndrome related problem.. i've got it... Thats what 2 years of living in dry las vegas working 80+ hours a week on the computer will do for you. (I've cut back to maybe 25-30 hours now)

My eyes used to get dry like MoFos but then I switched to daily disposable contacts (kind of expensive). They've been great and have allowed me to put off having the laser eye surgery for a while.

The surgery just scares me still. I'm gonna wait a few more years I think.

Actually yesterday I started wearing my driving/tv watching glasses and I find that it helps with the dry, irrated and sore eye feeling. I think because it's stopping the glare and things are a little bit sharper on the computer. But they also have computer glasses you can wear that have a tint on them to prevent glare which my releive CVS

Cold hands? Just use an iBook! they are vented via convection through the keyboard. You could fry an egg un the underside, too!
