Sorry I am not defending the idea of zombie chicken, but some people are contending that this is more humane. There will be a large debate on it and the food industry has deep pockets and they will hire the top brains to promote their ideologies and will succeed. Food industry knows how to get us addicted to the food by loading it with chemicals, salt, fat and sugar.

Chickens run around in the wild? Really? Where?

Don't most animals turn on themselves when they're starving? Fish and chimps do. I am sure many other animals do as well. Hard to sympathize with animals that turn on themselves.

Humans will turn on themselves also if they were starving. I think laws of nature are not humane.

I can show you plenty - they get dumped in the larger parks all the time. Really cute seeing the mama chickens all puffed up with their babies under their wings. They live quite happily and cannibalism doesn't seem to be a problem.

Just realised, you live in a country where everything is bloody dangerous, wouldn't want to be a chook on the loose there.

Commercial chickens, though, can be raised in barns and given paddock access during the day. They get fed and looked after (that's the animal husbandry bit).

Because humans are such pacifists, right?

Apes hang and work in groups. If they see you as a liability, I doubt you would last long lol.

Who knows what they're going to be feeding the zombie chickens through the tube. I won't eat zombie meat of any kind.

We consume way too much meat. We can substitute some of that by plant proteins . It is so much cheaper and healthier,

They've been feeding geese through a tube in France for at least a century, why is nobody complaining?

Supposedly the meat is tastier that way and it's not considered to be inhumane with the locals.

Would I eat a lab chicken? HELL NO.

If you don't let the animal move around and get it fat and don't let it develop muscle than meat will be tender and juicier. Socrates had quoted," Good men eat to live, bad men live to eat." lol
Taste is mostly acquired. We don't need fatty meats, we lack in culinary skills.

It's already kind of disgusting if you think about it. I mean eating animal flesh and making sauce from their blood and lactation is sick enough. Abusing animals for tastier food is just plain over the edge sick and perverse.

My grandma gave me 3 ducks couple months ago and every morning I go and give them fresh water and wheat + corn, they look so happy when I go to them, thing that makes me happy too, if I show them this picture they will probably *ucking die.

There have been pickets outside restaurants in NZ where the restaurants have foie gras on the menu and so far they've been 100% successful.

Yeah man I am not even a big meat eater at all. But there is something about eating lean protein like chicken. It just feels right.

Here is some more info on cultured chicken, they are saying taste would be indistinguishable, we will reduce green house gas emission..and wait for it..they are saying that it will be healthier as they can control the amount of fat and cholesterol and above all reduce animal suffering. Cultured chicken seems different from zombie chicken.
