Length of time for secondary pages to get PR?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by joewood, Mar 4, 2005.

I was forced to restructure several of my sites 1-3 months ago. Each of them still carry the PR3-6 they originally had. But, every secondary page is still PR0.

Any feedback on how long this will take to get back to the PR3-5 that the secondary pages had originally?

Do some permanent redirect from old page names to new ones. This will (unless it is too late) bring those page ranks over to the new pages and will help you get listing in serps back quickly.

Typically with good site navigation it will take one update for it to spread.

Due to the massive restructuring I had to go through, it was not possible to do the permanent/401 redirects for individual pages. I basically have to start from scratch. But, the almost 3-months wait for the PR to appear has me concerned. There's no funky/black-hat stuff going on.

    Any clues?

Also, my SERP's are fine for secondary pages. Just no green-bar.

PR in the toolbar only updates once a quarter right now. You won't see anything until April 1st most likely if quarterly updates continue.
