I guessed from dzcap paranoid comments that there are two kind of members one think that putting website in signature helps little bit and other say no it is more harmful.So they keep there signature Blank ( as mine ) .
I am starting this thread for all members if you think it is helpful (SEO) then you can ask other members who keep their signatures blank because they think it is more harmful to put your website in their signature.
In that way both kind of members will be more happier.Because if you think it is harmful then you are not putting your website in signature and thus saving yourself from harm.But if you think it is helpful then now your website is in multiple signatures thus now you have better help.

If you are keeping your signature blank then you can nominate yourself for keeping link from other member.

 

Why would a sig be harmful though? Ok it may not be useful but can it be harmful?

 

Some people think your rival can exploit your website if you will put in signature e.g. dzcap.

 

Why is it any less harmful to have your site linked from someone else's signature?

Why would the person who now has someone else's site linked from their sig now be "happier"? Why would, say dzcap, enjoy putting someone else's link on his posts?

 

I can think of two reasons:
a) DZCap can hurt the website in his sig, thereby decreasing the competition of a website to his (by about 1 in 80 billion websites...)
b) that sunny feeling of helping someone.

mm wondering if there can be a c) all of the above?

Now we just need to tweak the mini-coop concept so dzcap can easily target which site to add to his sig based on how much he would like to see the other person suffer- we could add weight through some kind of deserves-to-suffer index.

So this is like a sig exchange so people won't know your real site? If you need sigs for SEO purposes, consider using another username or doing it in another forum. Because if you piss somebody off, you don't know what they will do. This is not being paranoid, this HAS happened before a bunch of times and it could definitely happen again.
