Link Unit Too Close to Image?

Is there a rule against placing link units near images?

Is the link unit too close to the image in the middle of this page?

I think there is not such rule, because link units require a link on another page to be paid. So, IMHO your image is placed correctly.

Well, that's good, because that one little link unit is getting the bulk of the clicks on that page.

So there's a tip: put link units directly under images. I'll try putting that image in an even more prominent position in the future.

Well, there's certainly a policy against placing normal text ads too close to images, or at least, if the placement could imply a relationship between image and ad--and guess who gets to decide whether a relationship is implied based entirely on their own whim?
