Anyone use LinkedIn? I think it's great for marketers!

 

I been looking at signing up for it over the past couple of days, I've heard it's great for business networking and also marketing to offline business clients. A lot of untapped potential there definitely.

 

I have created my account there 2 days ago but I have no idea how to use it. is it like Facebook or Gmail?please tell me.

 

Yes i used it at regular time for my SEO work and it is very useful to me.

 

Linkedin is a fantastic social media site to build contacts and connections. Could lead to some good business for you.

 

It's fantastic for meeting new clients and also meeting partners for upcoming venture etc... It's not like Facebook where it's crawling with personal photos of teens etc, it's 100% business related and right to the point.

 

Linkedin is really a place of professional people. That feature makes it an attractive place for IM also.

 

Social Media is my business and LinkedIn is a key part of everything that I do. Each social networking site in my opinion brings something a little bit different to the table, and I often hear people describe linkedin as 'Facebook for Business' I can kinda understand that, but as someone who uses it to network with people, it really is a completely different kettle of fish.

I am contacted by recruiters, head-hunters, people wanting to learn more about the specialist areas that I know about, old colleagues looking to connect - it really is a networkers dream!

The personal profile section is SO important to have completed correctly - its like CV but in a LOT more depth, you have more chance to express yourself with your own voice.

Like all other sites, it has opened up connections and opportunities that without being an active member on there I would have never reached, but it is NOT reaching the same people just on different networks.

If you run a specialist business or are part of an industry, go looking for groups to join, or perhaps start your own, you will be absolutely amazed at the power of being involved in a group on there (don't worry its not like a facebook group full of spam) Like minded people get together and help / share information in the groups.

Those involved in the 'offline' world 100% benefit from connecting via linkedin, its a credible place for business people, and if you are working a 9-5 in the 'real' world then this is another way to meet and great people, probably more so that you would get from Facebook or Twitter!

It's great for breaking into your field in the industry earlier. The internet makes things like this so much easier and faster now thanks to LinkedIn. It's got great social features too.

 

Not sure what you mean with "marketers"...

LinkedIn is a great place to connect with professionals. But like any social networking site it has its pros and cons and plenty of time wasters...

 

I agree! I've received a lot of traffic from Linkedin, and I can't believe I've ignored it before this year. Although I often do wonder if people actually get employed using the site coz after all, isn't that what it was supposed to be; a place where employers can find potential employees?

LinkedIn really awesome i like to use it because it provides platform for all ages and on this social network you can hire the people or find job.

 

I also regularly use LinkedIn its great to check out what other business leaders are doing, keep in touch with like-minded professionals and niche experts....It really can work for you in so many ways. I really recommend it!

 

LinkedIn are for professional marketers. You'll get a higher opportunity to market your business in LinkedIn especially if your doing web marketing business.
