Authorize.net, Beanstream, and LinkPoint are not Third Party processors. These are gateway providers between your own internet merchant account and the customer. In the case of Beanstream, they are the merchant account provider and the gateway. Authorize.net and LinkPoint are just gateways and you still need a merchant account from somewhere.

A Third Party processor is where the merchant account is not in your business name, and relies mostly on the customer to go to that third party website to process their payment.

Even with PayPal Website Payments Pro where you can accept credit cards directly on your site, it is still third party because you don't own the merchant account.

never try to use xoom. They will decline every transaction and hold your money for 10 days. shame. They have a paypal to local pickup in the same day for a few bucks but they will decline the transaction. what a shame.
