    Hello,

    What are the best affiliate softwares? I am selling forum templates (vBulletin and IPB) and would wish to add an affiliate software so people can earn money when they refer people to my website.

    I am looking for a SIMPLE solution, like I don't care if it has 5000 features. Just something usable where users can place links on their sites and then earn money with referrals. That's it.

    Any idea? Thanks in advance.

    you can make your own affiliate program ... how it works is you make a URL, like

    http://www.yourdomain.com/affiliate.php?affiliate_id=3334

    this page will then set a cookie in users browser and then you look for that cookie during checkout

    i will make a tutorial on this soon

    If you want a paid one, depending on what shopping cart you are using(this one works with a few) Jrox is pretty good. Free up to the first 50 affiliates, which is good enough for you to at least get an idea if you want to do it.

    Affiliate Harvest is a very easy to use, do it yourself solution. Just a small setup fee, and a very small monthly usage fee, and its super easy to implement(just add script to the page/s). Has all the basic functionality you would need to setup a cpa, cpc, cpm program.

    There are a lot of affiliate systems that available on the internet but most of them are not really great for multiple products selling. What I mean is, each link will have a specific ID for a specific Item.

    For example

    http://www.yourdomain.com/?affid=123&productid=01 for item A
    http://www.yourdomain.com/?affid=123&productid=02 for item B

    So, when affiliates want to promote the two products, they need to promote both affiliate link which are not really great to apply.

    Idevaffiliate and post affiliate pro can be integrated with shopping cart software such as xcart, oscommerce, zencart... but since you said that you are using your own custom shopping cart software, I'm not really sure if you can integrate the idev and post affiliate pro with your shopping cart.

    Try to contact Idev or post affiliate pro to know more about this.
