The price is all custom depending on the toon .... so you'd detail me what you'd need and I'd charge it ... PLENTY more to see example wise, on our site (see sig).

Want to do more mainstream stuff with more fun ideas ... adult is a bit restricting :)

I despise PenTools and Wacom tablets etc ... DESPISE...

NEVER use them... No point. The pencil to paper is much more fluid. That's how we work. Pencil draw the images ... get them sorted on paper. Then line and color in Photoshop. Not going to confirm how I do the stages tho :D

    lol

Let's just say not one single ounce of work is done with an automated system .... EVERYTHING is done by hand.

Good to see someone who doesnt take any shortcuts to provide a quality service. While I dont have an immediate need for this, I will most certainly bookmark this thread. Thanks.

I'm just curious why you'd say there's no point with the pen tool and why you despise them. Or was that a sarcastic post?

Well, for a start ... this is my opinion and not the opinion of everyone else :)

But pen tablets (and yes... I do own one) ... are made of plastic. Plastic against plastic does not feel right ...

Some people put paper over the tablet so it feels more like a pencil ... but that doesn't give the true feeling of pencil. I like to feel the carbon running down over the high quality cartridge paper I use....

I like the textural feel of the paper and pencil. I like the effects you can achieve using it ... I like using the pencil to create shaded areas that will then be used as a guide for creating the final image.

It's all personal preference, but I think a lot of artists put their trust in these tools and they just don't feel right ...

    :)

Sorry but I don't think we're on the same page. I mentioned pen tool referring to Adobe's path/anchor/brezier tool engine. Were you referring to pentool as a pentablet?

Ah ... haha... yes... I was discussing Pen Tool as in ... the plastic devices used by some to draw :) (in my original post I talk about Wacom Tablets in the same sentence so I thought that's what you meant) .... :)

The pen tool in Photoshop is a fine little tool and I'd not slag it off :)

I thought someone with your type of artistry would despise adobe's pentool and has found an alternative.

    Great work by the way.

Correctus: for some reason I had to say this. My 8 year old nephew draws anime characters with precision. Every character he draws has it's own personality. Learned from a book and tons of anime. But in reality, everyone can do what twisted and nephew does, just takes time and practice which not everyone can afford.

    my two cents

Well, I would like to think you're right, but in reality, this is a false statement.

Drawing is something that some people simply can't do. Like programming... or base jumping... or dancing ...

It takes something in your brain... coordination, precision... etc. Your nephew maybe has that. Not everyone does.

I know you didn't mean to, I'm sure, but the statement does kind of sound insulting! lol

Everyone has a talent. Talent can't be injected. It can be developed. But there has to be a fundamental talent there before the development.

We don't make much cash. We make quite a small amount really. But we do this for the love of it. So no, if you start out, don't expect to become a millionaire immediately.... most people don't want to pay what the images are worth and your rates will be laughed at if you're not sensible with your pricing. My cartoon drawing is not something I developed in education.

twisted: first lesson in art school, "creativity is learned and not inherited." Correct me if I'm wrong.

Our own taste and decision separates us from the rest. Everyone can program, can basejump and dance with the right discipline. But what you're getting to is somewhat vague to the point that you're telling me and everyone in this forum is that we can't do what you just did no matter how we try?

You have got to be kidding me. Not unless you're a robot or a God, then that's a big difference.
