Long term report shows growth while short term doesn't show the same pattern

    Hi there,
    I get some weird differences when looking at GA data long term vs short term and also when I compare December 2018 with December 2017 for instance.
    If I look at the audience report for a longer time frame (Jan 2015 to date) vs la shorter one (Jan 2018- Jan 2019) I get different results for Uniques and for Organic. On the long term graph I see a significant increase in the last 3 months while on the short term view, or even on a month by month view, I don't see the same numbers.
    Another issue that occurs is that when I try to compare December 2018 with December 2016 I get different numbers for Uniques (significantly higher for last year) compared to when I look at the data separately for the 2 months.
    Could you please help me to figure this out?
