Looking for a script

Discussion in 'Content Management' started by twiggy, Apr 9, 2007.

Been looking for a script but can't find what I need.

I want a script where people can add there business with details such as location, services, price, contact info etc. and people can search them on that criteria. Business should be able to update there information them selves.

This is for a college project so budget is limited but for the write script willing to pay a little more.

    Any ideas?

I think the paid version of phplynx will do all that you want.

You may be able to tweak the free version enough to get a passing grade.

    Thanks will take a look.

Its more the business side to it that will get the passing grade not the actual working of the script, so will have to take a look in to.

    Thanks for the link

There are a couple of modules that will do that under Joomla if you want to use that CMS.

You can do something like that in Drupal , you will need to install some additional modules but its not difficult.

Hermm I have had a look at a few CMS that can do it but they all seem way to bulky and over the top for what I need, which needs to be clean cut and easy to use.

I don't need all over the top functions.

Just simply user can add a 'record card' with there business name, address, price, services etc and then people will be able to search the database on those criteria.

For example they want a webdesigner in England/Liverpool the database will then return anyone who but there location as Liverpool and there service as webdiesgn.

Its almost like a yell.com style of site.
