    Hi guys. I am looking for a super simple cms where I can replace the text of a current website with PHP tags that in turn can be edited from a simple backend system. This way I can give control of editing simple things like the text of a static page over to my client without worrying if they will screw up their code. Please help. Thanks

    ok...ive found programs like tinymce. i think i am on the right track but do there type of content editors interface with mysql or something? How do they save the info?

    Have you tried Geeklog? It's real simple, with skinning, plug-ins support. Looks great, too and is regularly updated.

    I moved from Joomla (which I loved) to Wordpress, I have found it incredibly simple, with plugins ready in minutes.

    PostNuke 0.8 is just about to be released. And it's gonna be the best you can get without $$. PN 0.76 the current stable version is well worth looking at. Easy to setup and loads of third party modules. Check "community.postnuke.com" for more infos.

    sri - PostNuke is more alive than ever. They are about to launch the best free CMS the worl has seen. I've tested it and it's really worth to have closer look.
    Just on example: ampersands are set correctly in urls. (...amp;&... instead of the usual simple ..&..).That makes it a lot easier to link to inside pages and still have a page that validates.

    What goes under with the new upgrade is OpenStar. They will stop to release their pre-configured PN version and instead concentrate on the development of their own PostNuke modules.

    For super simple cms, use snews. They're at snewscms.com. Very easy to use and customize. Great for simple corporate site. The file size is less than 1mb. You can even add php and html with its [includes] function.
