Buying Looking for dedicated tech journalists. Name your price.

Frankly, I have had a miserable experience finding quality writing via DigitalPoint marketplace in recent months, but I believe there are still some of the greats visiting and scanning through this section. This post hopes to find those few rare individuals who are looking for both a quality outlet to express their talent and a stable position with room to grow.

I am looking to find a couple of strong journalists for a news website that primarily focuses on virtual reality, but we also cover augmented/mixed reality, artificial intelligence, VR-specific hardware/software, mobile and entertainment stories (VR in movies/gaming).

We will either be providing/assigning stories through press release material that comes across our desk or you could scout for breaking news and developing stories through a number of resources we will share.

We are looking for quick-learning and dedicated journalists who can not only produce fresh, engaging and well-worded content, but who are able to contribute regularly (up to multiple times per day).

At this point we are looking for stories up to 350-400 words each at the rate that we'd both be happy with. Should our work together be successful, there is definitely room for growth as we'd look to transition selected writers to higher-rate feature writers positions (we are ready to consider a monthly contract fee). May include paid travel opportunities (CES, Computex, game developer conferences, etc).

Requirements:

- Flawless English.
- North American-based (it is a time zone issue).
- Journalism degree is a major plus.
- Experience working in a news room and/or agency is a major plus.
- Over 18 years of age and legal right to work in the United States/Canada.
- Available for daily contributions (Monday-Friday) and occasional weekends.
- Personal interest and/or experience in the subject matter is a plus.
