I have reported this user, they had a no reserve auction here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1986616 and they are ignoring me and my attempts to pay. Obviously never sold for as much as they wanted but to ignore my PM's and think the problem is going to go away is wrong. That reminds me, I need to chase up the mods to see what the situation is regarding this.

No it is not okay, how have you not broken a rule? You list a NO RESERVE auction then ignore me for over a week and now today tell me you don't want to sell it as the bid wasn't high enough!! Then don't do no reserve auctions and don't ignore my PM's when I am trying to find out what is going on. Anyone reading this can decide if you are the sort of person they would be happy dealing with.

Here is the PM from mcfox the DP mod:

    Hi,

First off, are you mental selling a domain like that using a no-reserve auction? Curingacne.com seems to me to be a mid $xxx (could be wrong of course). I would've thought Sedo would be a better outlet for it.

Anyway, here's the situation - you posted something for sale on DP using the auction system. When you post for sale you agree to enter into a contract (it's in the small print you agree to when you list it). Here's the problem - you don't want to sell it for $55 (don't blame you).

What's the solution? Probably best to make contact with the person who won the auction and tell them you no longer wish to sell the domain. It's entirely up to you what you tell them but be polite about it and expect them to hit you with a negative iTrader. If they make a complaint you may get hit with a 2-point 'fake bid' infraction (it says fake bid but is also applied sometimes when people don't follow through on a sale).

Since you only have one active infraction point you will only get to 3 points total should that happen and you need 10 to get a temp ban so you're okay on that front.

Or you could sell them the domain for $55. Your call.

    Hope that's helpful.

    Best,

    J
