Looking for: Social Networing Script, Help me out.

I been looking around for a "myspace" scrit for a few weeks now.
The ones that seem to stand out are: phpfox, BuddyZone and phpizabi
If anyone can suggest something else or if finding someone to code this for me would be better, im open to that also.

What I would like to know is if there is something not present in one of the scripts, what one is easier to get someone to code for.

What one has decent support / updates / addons

Here is what im looking for (right now im leaning to buddy zone)
- The normal user networking like myspace.
- Users to be able to be in differnt groups / sub groups and be able to search them by this.
- The option for users to upload videos to differnt groups (that coraspond to the groups they can be in)

(Right now eveything but the group / sub groups searching seems to be in buddy zone)

 

i found some free ones too... but forgot witch site. but check out mysite it has myspace generators

 

PHPizabi is a good dating script that you can turn into a social net. Just need to redo some of the code.

 

I'd check out phpfox if I were you.

 

The new PHPizabi release is out soon, that looks like it's going to be the best available.

 

It's called Alicia and I agree it will be the best one available.

 

If i set up a site now with PHPizabi would i be able to swith over to Alicia easily, or should i just wait till Alicia so not problems arise ?

 

Another community script worth a look is community builder an add on for joomla. Last I looked it was free.

Before putting down your hard earned money and purchasing a Social Networking Script make sure to search as many places as possible for reviews of the script you are going to buy and make sure the script you are purchasing has an active forum community that is open to criticism. As of 10/16/06 the Buddy Zone support forum is down and is nowhere as active as other Social Networking scripts. Which will limited your creative ideas for new functions you would like to ad to your Social Networking site.
