When did that happen? I'm getting all kinds of cool info- search terms, crawl success, and other groovy stuff. Looks like they integrated with analytics!

Check out the Google sitemaps control panel. Once you verify your site (you have to create a file of a specific name to show it's yours) Google will show a load of stats - query statistics, crawl errors and more.

You don't actually need to create a sitemap either - just enter the URL and do the verification.

This feature shows loads more info than last time I looked at it.

I reckon it will get better - I am seeing quite a few "Data is not currently available. Please check back later for statistics about your site. " messages.

Hmm.. I noticed the stats change but I personally am not getting much information on them. All I can see is the top 5 keywords related to my domain... not much information there...

Am I missing out on anything?

Whats so special about the new sitemaps?

it doesnt tell you top 5 keywords that take people to your site, it tells u the top 5 keywords your domain shows up for.

Thats an impossible stat to get without Google giving it up. Very nice

Edit: all the above may be a lie. I think I misread the sitemaps page.

Edit 2: I stand by my original statement.

    This is bloody excellent.

The errors section is really telling me to add some mod_rewrite bits in to cover some 404s!

When sitemaps stats say so and so high medium and low ranking pages, what do they mean? High = which pagerank range?

    Anybody has a clue?
