LOTS of traffic, but no clicks!

I have a problem.

I keep getting LOTS of traffic, but only one or two clicks.

I thought I had good ad placement.....

I wish I could put ads in the middle (where my content is on the main pagE) but it looks weird.. and too many ads make it look cluttered.

I'm also not getting any clicks on the top...any suggestions?

Looks too spammy...blend the ads together with the content a little better.

 

How do I do that? I originally had all the links matching, so it blended... but maybe it blended a little too well because no one was clicking. people told me to make it stand out more.

Any specific suggestions?

 

How much traffic are you talking about when you say "lots" and where is it comming from?

 

about 350 a day.. which isnt bad, since its very new and isnt in any search engine yet.

Its coming from my own promotion...and lots of linking.

Ive heard large rectangle box ads are the way to go... but if i did that.. it would make it look even MORE spammy.

What if I removed the ones on the right and top..and just put the ad in the content on the main page....and wrapped it around the text?

 

Do a Google search for music forums. Then join as many forums as you can and put the url to your site in your siggy. Search engines will find you better that way. Your traffic will rise in no time.

 

Simple is often better. Think about what you'd really do if you didn't listen to others. And do it!

Just by changing it a LITTLE bit.. i already have 2 more clicks! Should I leave it like that? I wish a larger rectangle would fit.

Yeah I've been working hard at it. My traffic increased today.. but only got 3 clicks... with 375 impressions. Not good! But things are looking up

 

your traffic has increased because you posted a link here. i myself mind adlinks hard to monetize because it takes 2 clicks.

 

Well try blending your ads a bit better here is a good example of blending Yahoo Ads!

This is bad status , I recieved 500 Imp and about 20 Uniq / day but 0-1 Clicks (Released yesterday)
But your status is worse than me !

 

do you think changing all of the links to black would make it blend in too much?

 

thats actually a terrible example if you ask me

 

the traffic is still low.
the ads impression need to be 1000 for more click
my stats is real bad because the CTR is low.

so you need to drive more traffic to get more click

 

Change your banner to the right site of the page, I would also put a blue background color and white link and page title.

This works very good on sites like this.
