    Hi Guys,

I have a high traffic blog which I think should be able to make $100-$200 a month with adsense. In the last 7 days I have made about $2 :).

Adsense is not the primary function of the site so I dont really want it everywhere but it definately could use an improvement.

Hopefully someone with more experience with adsense can help me out.

    The site is http://www.scribblescratch.com

    Thanks

I see where your coming from not wanting adsense EVERYWHERE to be annoying to returning visiters, but I only see one ad block.

Maybe using a link block on the right side to get people to click on and maybe adding a bigger ad block in an article can come up with more profits, but, that one adblock I don't think is going to do much.

You almost got to trick people in clicking them. But also try not to over abuse the real estate.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I did try a side block but it didnt match real well so I thought it wouldnt work. I will try adding one and see if that helps.

will update with how it goes

Put half banner under "download" and "view demo" links
but also you have to work, to test, try to create chanels, experiment with it!

What I suggest you to put large rectangle instead of banner at the top. Still you can add up one ads slot in your blog.

Frankly telling you I never liked your site ads placement.

Change the half banner to a rectangle at top.
Add Links ad in the sidebar
Add half banner under download, view demo links.

So if anyone is following the thread I have made some changes.

I got rid of the header adsense because its ctr was less than .5% and it was rather noticeable. Whilst I want to make some adsense income I dont want to overload the visitors.

I added a sidebar link adsense unit.

I added a half banner underneath the demo and downlaod of each wordpress theme.

I added a half banner on all the free pages: wordpress themes, logos, banners and patterns.

I ahve created channels for all so I may give it a couple of days and post the results (what I can with violating TOS)

I know its been awhile but I thought I would update my progress.

I am now getting $3-$5 day with one link block.

Customising my old theme didnt seem to work. The two changes that I think have helped are:

I started using tags on my post. And I did a bit more onpage optimisation. This has lead to related links being shown.
I used a new theme with a large ad block.

CTR is only slightly better than before but my CPC has gone from $0.1 to $1.5
