Low CTR and earnings on blog and proxy

    Hi all,

Have been reading the forums with interest, though this is my first post. I've been running a number of sites for quite a while, some of which are using Adsense. Though I have optimized them upto an extent, the CTR is still pretty low (about 2% in total) and I make anywhere between a few cents to a couple of dollars per day.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction and let me know what I might be doing wrong. My blog is at http://sajjadzaidi.com and I'm running a proxy with adsense at http://webpxy.com.

Thank you in advance and best regards.

Try changing their ad link color to green so that it stands out a bit but still blends in.

For your blog, A good suggestion would be use text links in the column nav. Place links beneath your header and place one right above the "comments box" and below the article... You should see an improvement.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions. The search bar wasn't getting much use so have changed it to a text button. Have also made a couple of other changes, as suggested, though would be grateful if you can provide any further tips.

Will monitor it for a few days and see what affect there is.

princejohn, sorry the pages couldn't load. The sites have virtually 100% uptime so could be a temporary network issue. Let me know if you still experience such issues.
