Low CTR - Good Traffic - Any Advice?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by jjfighter, Feb 11, 2008.

    Hello All,

On my site I'm getting a low CTR. I've around with a variety of placements, sizes, colors, etc and just having a really hard time improving my CTR. My home page is the most popular area and landing page, yet has the worst CTR on the site.

Also, what do you think about the 120x240 ad on top left nav area. I was debating changing it to a 160x600 ad. But I am also concerned will it hurt my nav (which I am changing and updating this week).

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Joomla! lol, anyways, it looks nice, and i think you should consider placing link units in your header, that might improve it, but i think your ads look nice how they are. , just get more organic traffic i guess to get a better CTR

i like your placements except for the link unit at the bottom...i suggest using a rectangular ad rather than a vertical ad on the left side...

imo there are so many links that your ads will be invisible, i suggest cutting down on those repeated links...to lessen the competition for your ads...:D

Your ad placement and colors looks OK to me. I have the best perfomance with 336X280 ads (mine is about 15-20% CTR - is that good?).

Some of my design doesn't necessarily fit the 336. I am releasing a new version of the hompage in a day or so. I'll post it again for review. Thanks

You have plenty of site contents there, the page is large, that make your Ads look less important and caught on eyes.

Also, when I scrolled down the page, your ad seem like moved a little bit.
