Low earnings. . help me!!

I have a website with ~25,571 impressions and ~114 clicks a day .. and im only earning $12.12 out of it. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Please advise!!

That definetly doesn't sound right, but I do not know what it could be....

Also keep in mind that I am pretty sure forums earn much less than content pages....

 

Do you monitor the ip of your visitors ? If your visitors are all from certain area , that could be one of the reason .

 

it depends much on the content of your site... others, with a site about cancer, mught earn much more from the same amount of impressions and clicks...

offtopic: http://www.silkroadonline.org/ is against TOS. that "Screenshots of the day" + 2 images + 2 ads is, in my opinion, against the google TOS. ask google for a review...

 

I made exactly the same amount for 213 clicks. I know why tho....cos all my visitors/sponsors are from India. You get less money from Non US sponsors & IPS. Looking at the impressions I guess your CTR is quite low. You can try adding images above the ads. Put a border betn the ads & the images...thts fine with google. Heres what they told me:

You might also want to consider the fact that you have a super low CTR. I've found that with lower CTR comes lower paying ads... so your first order of business should be to improve the CTR and the higher paying clicks will follow.

 

hmm.. I thought 100 clicks were quite alot already.. how much clicks on average should i be getting for 25k impressions a day?

 

100 out of 25 000 is ~0.004% CTR, which is...um...terribly low. Dp'ers are already saying that a 1% is low.

 

Dont get worried...I went thru ur site...max ppl are on ur site thru/for forums...I personally think forums are not too good to earn a handsome revenue.... What u can do max is try putting G Ads betn 2 posts in ur forum.

 

Missed this out...ur ads..the main links have to be in black, blue or birght red...tht definetely helps

 

The lowest CTR I have is about 7% (one month avg.), the upper end for me is about 25% (one month avg.)

Mind you I have content based sites, not forums. I can't tell you what a forum CTR should look like but I'd guess that somewhere between 0.5% - 1% should be reasonable... your numbers are 10-20x less.

The title "screenshots of the day" is very misleading, I advise you to change that as a start.

 

Search engines, mostly word of mouth. 2000 - 3000 visitors per day.

 

Why is it misleading? It's not there for nothing.. there're 2 screenshot of the game in the box. .

 

Nothing out of the ordinary, perhaps they are low paying keywords... I've got a site with 5 times the traffic, and it does not even earn half that. Low paying keywords...

 

Try and get a good idea of what you are getting per click by recording stats and stuff every hour. I have about 10 really good blogspot blogs I get about 20,000 visits overall per day, yet only about $20 . The CPC varies its around 10-14 cents or so. 200 clicks roughly. I get high clickthrough rates when I add a google search bar, and you do not have one so that might be a good addition. I like your idea though of mixing the adsense with the screenshots.

 

why is it so low earning on my ads i et also 5 cent per clik ???
