OK so I made about 10 bucks from a website in one year, now this domain is about to expire
I want your suggestions that should I renew it or not?

the site has only a few pages and I have never really worked on it

Let it expire and concentrate on more profitable sites. If you don't work on it year 2 will not pay the bills either.

Put the site up for sale and see what you get for it, someone else might be interested in taking over if they think they can make more from it. You've got nothing to lose by doing so.

I wouldn't say that, there's always the opportunity for the revenue to increase and if you have enough sites earning a small amount you'll get a reasonable amount overall.

it got me back the amount I spent on doamin registration for one year
hosting does not cost as I have just set it up as an ad-on domain in my hosting account

also currently the domain is PR4 as I have linked it from my other sites

If your aim was to make money out of this site obviously your plan did not work out, but then on the other hand you said you did not put any work into it. You need to examine your motivation why you put this website up in the first place. If it was because it involved a topic that you like but did not get time to develop it then keep it. Renewing the domain will not bankrupt you!

If the topic does not interest you then look at selling it! Dont forget what looks as of no value to you may have some value to someone else.

I would renew it and keep that quality domain name and do some basic advertising. Then keep it for a side project to work on in your spear time,
    or sell it.
You should be able to bring the earning to at least $10 a month.
Good luck what ever you decide to do.

Corporate attornys frequently create empty corporations for which they pay the fees, do the record keeping etc. They know there will eventually be buyers willing to pay a premium for a "clean" aged corporate shell.

In your case, there is no cost, buyers are looking for aged domains with content, so why not just let it continue to ripen?

There aren't many businesses where inventory costs nothing to hold and value increases over time.

I have plenty of domains I make $0 on but renew because I think the name will be worth something one day. Sometimes it pans out. Have sold a few domain names for $xxx

Go ahead and renew. I assume you pay the going rate of about $8 per year for a domain registration. Hey, if you build 10,000 sites like that, you'd be making $20,000 per year off your websites. ;)

10$ a yr is not bad, coz you must have not worked harder. Work harder n one day the payout will be 10$ perday. :)

Being the domain is a PR4, I'm sure it's creating value for other sites. I would keep it.
