Magento cart : Suggestions required.

Hello there,
I'm currently working on a magento cart for an online store. I was looking for it anyone will suggest me with a good list of magento extensions or plugins for online store. one I think will be newsletter. what else do I need ? please help me out.

@Nigel: Thanks man. I'm looking through the links you have posted. The store will be basically for tshirts. So anything special you would like to suggest. Also is there any affiliate marketing module for magento ?

 

The advanced product options mod will let you use image or a hex code for color swatches but you want something to this effect I would imagine. http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/product-color-swatch.html

Mass Product actions - http://amasty.com/mass-product-actions.html (this one is especially useful for me, it saves a huge amount of time! It also allows to change attribute set for a product in case you've specified it wrong)

Additional one is Color Swatches (http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/color-swatches-pro-by-amasty.html). It helps to display products properly. It's great if you sell clothes, for example, as people need to study colors and textures carefully before buying.

There are many extensions you can go for your magento cart:
Magento One Page Checkout Extension - Best extension to simplify the checkout process.
Magento Single Step / Page Checkout Extension - This extension reduce your chances to lose the product sales.

 

I do not know for magento but here I found some themes for OpenCart (I get that there are similarities), I saw that there is a category magento, you check if there's something you're interested. Basically a lot of useful web resources
