    So I've read that it's best to kind-of make the ads blend in to the site a bit rather than making them stand out... because otherwise, people will use their trained eye to automatically skip over advertisements.

    I have a small banner ad unit that displays between the first and second post on my forum.
    IMO, it sticks out and can easily be identified as an ad... but I'm not sure, so I want your opinion.

    Do you think I should use the Open-Air theme and make it seem to flow into the white background of my site?
