Making Money Online Makes You Lazy?

What do you think? Making money online, specially if they come from ads, you hardly have to work. I own a forum and even if I am away from computer for some days, I will still be making money.

So does this make us lazy? I am still a college student, making money so easily without work I might become a lazy guy. When I will emerge as a software engineer and join a software company that makes you work from 9 to 6 minimum, how will I cope up?

Right now, I bunk college too and if I attend, I feel too much (9am to 4:30).

What about you? Has anybody faced such a situation? Making money online as well as working hard on a real job? Share experiences please.

Some people are successful in generating sufficient online dollars without any work but it is not the case with all. Many people who don't find success with online business are likely to think that offline earning is better and easier than the online one, imo :)

The thing is that MMO doesn't actually make me feel lazy. At times, you have the stress to work hard as well to stay ahead of competitors and always find out the reason why serp ranking just drop. At least it offers something like working from the comfort of home and no fixed working hours.

Before you get where you are now, I'm sure you have put lots of efforts to make this a reality.. Now is the harvesting time and I don't think that should be seen as laziness :)

I think you have to be careful about how much work you put in to make money online. I have a full time job as well as working online. Last year I was planning to go full time on line as my profits were building steadily, I was making my plans and setting up new sites. Then Google changed their algorithym and I lost 90% of my income in one month. This taught me not to put all of my "eggs in one basket" I hope you understand this English saying but in case you don't. In business terms it means you shoudl not rely on just one thing for all you rincome since if that one thing goes wrong you are left without an income.

I still have the core business it took me 3 months to get it back up to previous levels.

Maybe I had become a little lazy after all making money even while you sleep is easy but I have learned my lesson now I plan to continue to work part time and to build a diversified online business so that a loss on one field does not have the same impact.

As for your college course Mayank, is it a degree you are doing? You should use it to your advantage, the college community is ripe for affiliate marketing you could build yourself a 4 figure income before you leave and rely on other peoples studious work and do something you enjoy. Its easy to get into other college communities when you are studying but when you leave you lose it after a year.

I am considering doing some sort of course just so that I can use it to my advantage.

If you would like me to show you how please let me know.

    Paul

I am yet to make decent amount of money online and hence its hard for me to comment if that does make one lazy.....

But I don't think making money would make any one lazy....rather more the person makes....he would be motivated more to put in that extra bit of effort....

    As they say...SUCCESS BEGETS SUCCESS.....

You will have to be on your toes even when you are working online as the online world is ever changing. If you stay away from your computer for too long, you would be left behind. :)
