Making Money Online with Niche Dating

Hi all,

I just want to test the water as it were to see if anyone would be interested to learn about making money in the dating arena.

I've been a web professional for years, accumulating no 1 spots in google and working for big brand name sites in the uk. I'm currently a business analyst and model return of investment (ROI) both in present situations and forecasting months down the line.

Currently I'm working for a software company that specialises in dating (and I'm not trying to sell it - I won't even mention it) and I know how to make a niche dating site successful with carefully balanced PPC.

I was thinking about writing how you go about setting one up, spending wisely and using an excel calculator to monitor when you will make your money back. This would be more for those of you looking to spend a bit of money each month to make it - not for get rich for nothing types!

Would anyone be interested in this? I'll start putting the pack together if so - what would you pay for the knowledge?

No worries guys - I wouldn't mind giving free exceprts away as I'm confident in what I'm saying.

I will give you proper examples and keywords as well as niches that are working well at the mo.

It's a bit of an education but has worked so well for some (the careful ones!)

Dating is still a very good niche arena as it harnesses the subscription model like no other and cross-selling.

Not sure why - the business model is brilliant if you get it right.

As a teaser, the industry will always grow so you'll be in it for the long haul.

The key to PPC is called the breakeven cost per basic member aquisition - you work this out with your profit margin and everything is conducted around this.

Setting up a site is easy (keep this one secret) and the rest is a numbers game.

Google Adwords - always use MANUAL mode and know how to get low cost conversions despite Google 'advising' more CPC spend. I can screen shot this.

I have the calculators for all the above and everything else like how to design a splash page that converts etc..

You can make a lot of money - anymore interest?

To be honest, I wouldn't expect you to at the mo - you need to trust me first so just thinking of the best way to do that.

My history goes from PHP developer through to project manager then account manager to information architect and now business analyst.

I run a successful niche dating site which I would use only for demo purposes in the docs.

If I get 15 people interested - give 5 the docs for free for review then it should be worth it.

Prob is - ROI will not likely occur until about your 3rd - 4th month (when rebilling kicks in from the long tail of subscriptions) but the calculator will show you that.

I'll help you find the right niches - e.g. South Africa is a great emerging market at the mo, seeing great conversion stats.

I would look to make some money of the back of selling the info so that's why I want to kind of justify it - I'm at a point that i can confidently sell it well since I know how to make just PPC alone profitable which everyone can setup quite quickly - although Google is taking ages nowadays to approve stuff!!

Maybe I'll work with the reviewers to help me price it...

There are so many scripts already available.

 

It's not about scripts at all - it's about the process to make money in a sequence of events and utilising the best tools in the best ways.

scripts will not make anything! They are empty shells...

Dating niche can be difficult, but good luck.

 

True but then again, advertising model and affiliate schemes are even more difficult. This way is little admin effort leaving you the time to analyse your figures and get the system right.

I'm nearly there with the doc - should be done by the weekend...
