Making my sitemap better...advice needed please

I have made a sitemap of my site, mainly for Google, but also for my visitors to quickly go to a certain page.

My site has not been indexed as well as it was before, and I am wondering if it was because of it...

It seems a bit empty, and I cannot figure out what else to do to make it more user-friendly

**btw...it may not be optimized, as far as keywords, description, title, etc...I am working on that now. I am thinking in terms of the ability of the spiders to follow it...**

Looks fine to me, would certainly be ok for the search engines. I don't think people use a sitemap-type entry point anyway, they'll either come through you own navigation pages, or (more likely) will find your page through a search engine.

I understand that they will come via the home pages or the other inner pages, but I just wanted to make it so that when they do need to use the sitemap, it is clear.

re your html sitemap: how about using page titles for the anchor text? It adds a bit of value to the file (for keywords )

re your xml sitemap: I would remove all parameters that you do not vary. Priority and change frequency come to mind here. Also keep in mind that those parameters are not used by Google at the moment, why waste bandwidth on unnecessary things

 

I really don`t understand your question.. Google said once that sitemap system doesn`t affect google pagerank and their normal crawling system..

Therefore this is not the problem.
