Making up after a break up?

Most of you have been in fights in your relationships with friends, specifically the opposite sex.

Well my question is the following, how can you make up with someone that you have had a passionate fight with in a relationship?

I always say to myself that I will never make fun of the former flame or her boyfriends/girlfriends but I never really am able to do it.

I still make fun of chicks that I knew in 1990 and that has become part of my mental makeup unfortunately.

I find my self imitating these girls in their voices and saying things like, honey I promise I won't make fun of you and your boyfriends anymore and am sort of still fighting with them even though they are long gone. When I was with them I used to hold their boyfriends and their boyfriend problems against them keeping their feet in the fire that way. Is this bad and am I a bad guy?

Do you guys and gals do the same?

 

Heh I'm terrible at "stayin friends" afterwards personally. Record of 0 relationships I'm still in contact with. So I guess my motto is move on... as quickly and totally as possible.

My ex-wife has this crazy idea that we should be friends, personally if God saw fit to make sure she gets gonorrhea, I probably wouldn't be unhappy about it If you can make friends with your ex's I say more power to you, me personally, I cherish my grudges

i've tried the friends thing, however, they know which buttons they can push and your vulnerabilities, so it depends on the person, and if they would take advantage of that.

1986, it was red and yellow. Heh, I got the better end of the deal though, got back with my high school sweetheart and she is very cool. She has been inputting content into a site for me for the last 3 weeks, she is accountant so she does my taxes, and well the rest is actually not forum material

 

Anthony, dude....I have nothing against you but this is definitely a sign that you're either: 1. a really unhappy person, and/or 2. still searching for wisdom and maturity. Why try so hard to make yourself "better" than other people? We're all just human, none of us are perfect. Yo!

I think it is a good idea to be friend with your former girlfriends, what is the point of fighting. You never know when you are going to be lonely and in need of reaching out and touching some one and having good friends always help.

What is the secret of being frined with your ex? Tell her how great she is and what a bastard your are and you really don't deserve to be with some one like her.
