What I was trying to say is this: assuming the situation of Lara is legit, the situation can cause hatred. When I read anything about tyranny, oppression and so on, it gets me heated quickly. Too many people are being bullied by someone. My dad was a bully, and I've learned early on not to take that shit, because I saw the reasons (insecurities etc.) behind the reason people bully.

However, it enrages me when I see people who allow themselves to be victims. My advice is this: get out as soon as you can. Where there's a will, there's a way

Yeah the mods have been having to work overtime just to close all of Lara's dumb threads.

I think the whole time I've seen 1 thread closed prior to the 2 of his/hers being closed.

 

They closed two of them and deleted one.

The threads drive them insane but provide entertainment for others!!!

What happens here is a cultural mis understanding. What lara says might not be the case of an american or european or indian (er... **i-am-being-too-optmisitc-for-the-pride-of-my-nation** ) society. but in an arab world (in a muslim community, even in india) they tend to get their girls married at a very young age and being for men, polygamous is perfectly legal. then abt her reaction to the whole stuff, its purely personal, isnt it? how someone reacts to something. we all react in different ways. so there is no point telling her off or having a debate on the sanity of hating the culture or society or parents. here in india, a study shows that out of every 100 reported case of teenage mental instabilty, 93 will be caused by love affairs (either breaking the relationship, or being possessive abt their mate and end up trashing the TV set coz the mate talked to someone else in their class. ). so every society has its share of laras. atleast my society has a lot of them.

Well as what they say, culture varies from one society to another, and I think that includes variations when it comes to romance as well. Not to mention the impact of technological advancement and how it affects relationship on the aspect of communication.
