If you move your vertical ad unit to the left side of the page, you will probably see an increase in CTR

Thanks for the advice. But just asking, why would my CTR increase if my sidebar is placed on the left hand side?

    Hello ketihchan,
same here it looks really nice neat and clean, but i think if you can add one image add it might give good picture of your website and may* (not sure) get good clicks somehow...

Thanks for the explanation alfie1848, "reading from left to right" is the key point. I might test it in some pages and see if it really works. Thanks anyway.

seoindiaweb, do you mean putting an image next to each ad unit in the skyscraper? I have think of doing that but it seems GPC doesn't permit it at this stage. Thanks for the advice though.

    keithchan,
Just so know, I was also somewhat skeptical of the effectiveness of moving the ads to the left. However, I tested it out on my blog, and it did increase my CTR within a few days
